It's Football Night in America

Hands-down, NBC's Football Night in America is the best sports program not on pay-cable.

I was going to watch the new Saturday Night Live just long enough to see the opener, the news and the Killers first set. Oops, I sorta fell asleep on the couch and missed it. From what I've been reading, I didn't miss too much. Did anyone else watch it? Thoughts?

If you forgot about (or are too young to remember) the fantastic British band Teenage Fanclub, let me remind you just how good they were in their prime. In 1991, the band's album Bandwagonesque was rated #2 album of the year by almost every music publication in the US and UK (Nirvana's Nevermind was #1).
